Curious - the game of learning App Reviews

A nice way to learn something new everyday!

Great app!

Paid app

You have to purchase a subscription. This is not a free app. F*ckers

You have to pay :(

Theres a thirty day trial but youre billed before you actually get to try it.

Love the idea, dont love the app

I would like to be able to see my wheel and add lessons to the "my lessons" section which I havent been able to do. I sometimes have trouble getting the full screen mode to work on videos. Good content but the mobile platform needs work.

Great if it was free

Would be great if it was free

Waste of time

had potential, hope it fails now. Getting sicker and sicker of: 1) downloading app. 2) signing up, giving email, making password. 3) finding out you have to pay for everything. IF ITS MOSTLY PAID JUST SAY IT UP FRONT. Ive made a habit of black listing any app that does this. Honestly not worth your time, youve already lost enough time reading this review, move on, trust me.

Great information:Difficult app

To put succinctly, the information within the Curious app is wonderful; however, the "app" is not always functional.

You have to pay more

I dont get the concept. You try to sign up and you have to start a "free trial" for 30 days and then you will be charged. Not for me. This is a classical example of "Bait and Switch". Shame.

Love this app

I have found the lessons very helpful and most of the instructors excellent. Some go a little too fast for me, but glad I can pause video any time. I would recommend giving this one a try, especially with the free trial period. Thanks

Do waste your time.

You cant even try the app without signing up for an account or signing in with Facebook. I deleted this app immediately.

Deceptive marketing

This is one of those apps that doesnt tell you that as soon as you get it loaded they are going to start harassing to upgrade and pay the piper. I dont mind, paying I just object to finding out after the fact. Tell me up front and let me decide, or give a trial period before you start asking, both ok. So wont know how good it might be since I wont use an app that does this type marketing.

In General....

The Curious lesson on your app are very informative and easy to understand.... I would recommend this app to anyone....

Exceptional Learning Tool

Our family loves Curious. We have installed it on our Apple TV and watch it almost everyday as a way of continuous learning. I love the broad selection of topics that help me with concepts I can apply at work as well as within our family. If you are a Homeschool family, you will find Curious a perfect addition to your daily curriculum. Ive now installed Curious on my iPhone and iPad so I can access the content over my lunch hour and during other times when I have a few free moments. Curious Team, keep the great content coming!

Great updates, clean design

The latest design updates (March 2016) are great! Love the clean design. And still enjoying all the great lessons and Curios available.

Learn something new everyday!!!

This app is awesome!!! I been looking for something like this for along time. I really like the people I watched so far, they explain things in a professional way.ya you can go on you tube and someother sites to teach you things you want to know but this app makes it easier for you!!

My Newest Hobby

Wow, who knew this hidden GEM of an App was here to be discovered

Great app!

This makes it very convenient to view lessons and learn from other devices other than just using the computer. I like the colors used also.

Not Really Free

Its free for 30 days, but before you can start lessons you have to enter your Apple ID so they can charge you after 30 days. Pretty disappointing.

Two Big Problems: Failure at Promised Value, Dishonest Business

Firstly, the app is really only helpful in learning about things one isnt actually interested in, read: has NEVER looked into. That is a fine thing for an app to be, but the app is hypothetically structured around ones interests, so it fails in its purported problem space. Additionally, theyre doing freemium wrong. They claim to be free with in-app purchases, but their in app purchase is just continued use of the app after the trial period - and theyve already got your billing information! So, this free app actually costs about $90/yr. I dont mind paying for apps, but thats shady marketing strategy.

The dark background is distracting

I love the content. The app logo is a bright hot air balloon but then within the app the dark grey and black, though, is very solemn. I think its supposed to be edgy or modern or something but I say lets drop the design drama so the cool stuff is the main focus. Also wouldnt it be good to have a feedback tab that asks for this type of feedback instead of just requesting a new topic? My log in info is messed up. There is no "forgot your password option." Little shaky on the basics but I really like the idea. I might go back to just using it online instead of the app.
